I Was an Essential Oils Skeptic
That was me, the essential oils skeptic, I couldn’t believe the hype.
Then it happened, I started seeing with my own eyes, and started feeling the great results. I bought an essential oils kit just to curb my curiosity. I used them on and off, waiting for the instant fix. Sometime there was, and other times I came to realize, it took some time.
The Essential Oils Skeptic changes his tune
I have a hard time falling asleep, and sometimes staying asleep. I was told to use Lavender to help this. So I would use it, and in what I thought was comical, my 5 year old niece would want some too before bed. So I would use it, and I chalked it up to coincidence that I was falling asleep better, and getting a pretty good night’s sleep. So we continued this ritual every night, my niece and I, until I ran out of the Lavender.
Do want to know how to know if something really works? Use it for a while, then stop. I went back to my rough night’s sleep. Again, for some strange reason, thinking it was a coincidence. Remember, I’m an essential oils skeptic still. (But maybe not!) Well my sister-in-law come to me a couple nights later, after we ran out, and asks if we have anymore Lavender for her daughter, my niece involved in our little ritual, because she’s noticed that my niece isn’t sleeping like she’s been.
Really, are you kidding me?
The Essential Oils Skeptic Is Believing
So during my night time experiment, my wife is staying on me to try the other oils. Remember I talked about some took time and some were speedy fixes? Well there were some quick fixes that I’ve tried and worked.
There is a blend I use, Deep Blue, which works great on sore muscles and body pains. I get an occasional neck cramp, I rub some in, and within 15 minutes it’s feeling good. My mother-in-law stopped by one night for a cup of coffee, and she was complaining about how her knees hurt. I told her about my success with Deep Blue. She was an essential oils skeptic like myself, but I talked her into it, and she rubbed a few drops on each knee and we continued on chatting and finishing our coffee. About 15 minutes later she gets up to leave, and could not believe how much better her knees felt, and said she can even walk a little easier. She took my bottle home for the next day.
Essential Oils Skeptic – No More
I could go over a bunch of other fixes and feel betters, but this post would get too long. I’m finding more and more healing recipe’s that are just plain remarkable. Check out my last post about the Bug Repellant, that’s really cool.
In conclusion, I just feel the need to share this, because personally I’m tired of putting chemicals down my throat, on my body, and in the air. If you think about it, this is how people in ancient times healed themselves. So if it worked that long ago, and it’s still working; then why not use it. I encourage you to check this out and give it a chance, you’ll be amazed!
If you’d like more information, please get a hold of me; I’d love to chat with you.
[box type=”bio”] Essential oils have been used throughout recorded history for a wide variety of wellness applications. The Egyptians were some of the first people to use aromatic essential oils extensively in medical practice, beauty treatment, food preparation, and in religious ceremony. Frankincense, sandalwood, myrrh and cinnamon were considered very valuable cargo along caravan trade routes and were sometimes exchanged for gold.[/box]
